Lumenis Be. Inc., the company that first introduced selective laser trabeculoplasty (SLT) to the market in 1999, has unveiled Digital Duet 2.0, the latest generation of its dual-mode SLT+YAG laser platform.
The new system, showcased at the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO) 2025 meeting in Orlando, Florida (October 17-20), builds on the original Digital Duet platform by introducing live HD imaging, video capture, EMR integration, and a streamlined user interface.
"Digital Duet has always delivered best-in-class SLT capability and superb optics, and the new imaging and workflow capabilities take that excellence even further—enabling smooth and easy operation and transforming how we work and engage with patients," said Dr. Steven Vold, founder and CEO of Vold Vision.
The system also offers network-ready connectivity that integrates directly with EMR/EHR systems, automatically generating customizable clinical reports for secure data exchange across practices and hospital networks — reducing administrative burden and improving workflow continuity.
Lumenis has retained its laser optics, featuring a super-Gaussian beam profile and SmartV™ adjustable on-axis/off-axis illumination for improved energy efficiency and visualization.
The device’s new 15.6-inch HD touchscreen and heads-up display (HUD) consolidate imaging, data, and laser controls into one interface. Optimized anterior and posterior offset adjustments enhance precision for both SLT and YAG procedures, the company reports.
