Lumenis has launched its 2026 Accelerate education series, a nationwide peer-to-peer learning program designed to help eye care professionals expand procedural services and integrate advanced therapeutic technologies into clinical practice.
The series, which began in Orlando, Florida, will continue in New York City on May 15–16, Newport Beach, California, on June 5–6, and Chicago on August 28–30. Additional dates and locations are expected to be announced later this year.
Accelerate is designed as a practical education forum led by eye care professionals for eye care professionals. Each event includes facilitated breakout discussions, interactive demonstrations, real-world case sharing and opportunities for professional networking. Sessions focus on strategies for incorporating in-office procedures, improving patient experience, optimizing workflow, and developing sustainable specialty services.
According to Lumenis, the program is intended to support clinicians who are looking to diversify revenue, reduce reliance on traditional reimbursement, and respond to growing patient demand for advanced in-office care.
“Accelerate creates a forum where clinicians can learn directly from peers who have successfully integrated advanced technologies into everyday practice,” said Stacey Winter, President, North America, Lumenis. She added that, as the company marks 60 years of innovation, its role extends beyond device development to supporting modern practice growth.
The 2026 program will feature perspectives from leading practitioners including Celesta Ferreira and Inna Lazar. Attendees will also receive interactive training with several Lumenis technologies, including OptiLIFT Dynamic Muscle Stimulation Technology, OptiLIGHT intense pulsed light therapy, and OptiPLUS dual-frequency radiofrequency technology.
OptiLIGHT is described by the company as the first and only IPL device FDA-approved for dry eye management. The inclusion of IPL, radiofrequency and muscle stimulation technologies reflects the growing emphasis on office-based procedural care within optometry and ophthalmology practices.
In addition to clinical and business-focused sessions, the events will include hosted meals, breakout networking, and a cocktail hour to encourage peer exchange.
Eye care professionals interested in attending can register through Lumenis’ vision events website.
