CSO (Costruzione Strumenti Oftalmici) hosted its Annual Meeting 2026 in Florence, Italy, from April 18 to 20, bringing together more than 300 distributors, ophthalmologists, and vision care professionals from around the world. The three-day event combined education, innovation, and networking, reinforcing CSO’s position as a global leader in ophthalmic technology while fostering collaboration across the vision care community.
Set against the backdrop of Florence’s historic venues, including Palazzo Vecchio and Palazzo Borghese, the meeting provided attendees with an engaging program. This behind-the-scenes access highlighted CSO’s commitment to quality, precision, and technological advancement.
The event was structured across three dedicated days, each tailored to specific audiences. On Day One (April 18), the Distributors Session focused on market insights and practical strategies to strengthen the promotion and positioning of CSO devices globally. Discussions centered on evolving market dynamics and how distributors could effectively respond to emerging opportunities in ophthalmic care.
Day Two brought together both distributors and eye doctors for a joint session that explored key clinical and technological developments. Topics included advancements in OCT-based ocular biometry, the growing role of aberrometry in premium cataract and refractive surgery, and an exclusive preview of upcoming CSO technologies. This session encouraged dialogue between clinical and commercial stakeholders, helping to bridge innovation with real-world application.
On Day Three, the focus shifted to vision care professionals during a session held at CSO’s headquarters. Presentations highlighted cutting-edge technologies supporting specialty contact lenses, strategies for myopia control, and new approaches to dry eye assessment. These discussions underscored CSO’s ongoing efforts to address some of the most pressing challenges in modern eye care.
